In view of the establishment of new production methods to ensure superior fish quality, and given the company’s existing and well-established reputation, the Management of BLUE ISLAND HOLDING LTD has set-up the Food Quality and Security Policy.
The Food Quality and Security Policy aims at offering the following:
• Maximum customer satisfaction
• Abiding by all legal and regulatory demands
• Continuous improvement in customer service
• Production of superior quality products at competitive prices. This is achieved by using all existing resources (human resources, raw materials, technology & know-how) as efficiently and as effectively as possible
• High product hygiene and security. This is achieved through the use of the Quality Management System, which abides by both Cypriot and European legislation, as well as by HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) regulations
• The application, review and continuous improvement of the Security and Quality Management System, in accordance with International Standards
The company’s Management states its commitment to the achievement of these targets, through the application of various policies and procedures. These include preventive actions and control measures to ensure the continuous checks and review of various requirements and demands, the superior quality and security of all offered goods, the correct choice of a highly skilled and capable personnel, and above all maximum customer satisfaction.
This commitment, both on the part of the company’s Management as well as on the part its personnel, ensures that all offered goods are in accordance to all the requirements found in the Food Security Manual, in the Quality System Procedures as well as in the company’s working manual. Furthermore, this commitment assures that the company will always strive to live up to all its customers’ expectation.
The company’s Management delegates to the HACCP coordinator, the jurisdiction to handle any issues regarding the quality and the security of the offered food products, to suggest corrective actions where necessary, to ensure the execution of such actions and finally evaluate any derived outcomes.
The responsibility for the surveillance of the Quality Management System is assumed by the Company’s Managing Director, who will also assume the role of the signatory of the Food Quality and Security Policy, on behalf of BLUE ISLAND HOLDING LTD.
